RSBSY Co: Wednesday Wanderings | Weekly post about the studio and home

Hello, hello, hello!!

Welcome back to all my amazing readers, I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season. I am very slowly getting back in to the swing of things here this week. The kiddos have headed back to school and as a family we are starting to get back into our routine. I did finish my Love Note Sweater over the break and will share that with you all this week's upcoming Friday Finished Object post.

Some thoughts that have been percolating for sometime that I wanted to share with you all:

1) The need to slow down slightly. What I mean by this is that this year I will be returning to school full time (thanks to my Gov job) for one year to become bilingual and it will be intense and lots of work. In order to make room for this change in my personal life as well as the increasing activities of my children I have decided to limit the amount of shows I will be participating in this year. I am thinking there will only be three shows this year.

2) As our show presence will be diminished this coming season I am going to work on building our wholesale client list and work on providing regular small scale shop updates. I usually rely on show prep to overflow into the online store so by doing more regular but small scale updates I will be able to provide you all with fresh items monthly without overtaxing myself. I will also enjoy having this creative outlet I am sure to play with new colours and bases.

3) I have made myself a goal this year to work on designing some of my own patterns. I might have bitten off more than I can chew as I wrote down the number '3' but lofty goals are always fun.

As you can see this year will be a little bit different but I am looking forward to it all the same. If I can convince Chantal to do some girls shopping weekends you might just see us at shows any way :)

Happy Making,

Ashley xo
